Loosley laid in a handwritten thank you note to the buyer, signed by michel. Mohammed Khaïr-Eddine is known as the ‘enfant terrible' of French Moroccan literature. Before being exiled to France he worked together with Abdellatif Laêbi on the magazine Souffles. Most of Kair Eddine's writing was done in France and Le Roi (1966), is one of the first, if not the first publication that was made in France. Eddine died in 1995 and three of his novels have recently been re-published in Morocco (Agadir, Une odeur de Mantèque and Légende et vie d'Agoun'chich).

Jean-Michelena is the name under which Jean-Paul Michel, the founder and owner of William Blake & Co. (1976), published his own books. He published under his own name. 'Du Dépeçage comme de l'un des Beaux-Arts' which is the first book illustrated by Limérat. Mathieu Bénézet wrote about 'Du Dépeçage...' in Les Nouvelles Littéraires "Lisez, lisez, Jean-Michel Michelena ; vous n'en finirez pas d'y revenir. Laissez ses mots se disposer dans votre tête jusqu'à ce que la caisse emplie de sons vous commenciez de parler une langue dont vous ne saurez jamais si elle vous est propre ou étrangère.
